Describe the behavior of light at optical coatings. A light applied to a color-dilated surface can be modulated by filtering it. When an optical path is in a metallic state, a light emission spectrum can then be modulated, typically by applying a low-level of light. An example of this is Figure 8 of Vetterze et al., J. Appl.ata., 63, 442001 (2000). Electrical coatings used for preparing a color-dilated surface are well known in the art. U.S. Pat.
